Moving Abroad | Ep 90

Wednesday Feb 25, 2026

Wednesday Feb 25, 2026

What if the next chapter of your life isn’t downsizing… but relocating to a whole new country?

In this episode, Aaron Smith and I unpack the real strategy, mindset shifts, and practical considerations behind moving abroad — and why reinvention sometimes requires a passport, not permission.

Aaron is a former corporate executive turned location-independent business builder. After relocating to Panama, he began helping experienced professionals design small, profitable businesses that support long-term freedom rather than endless growth. He’s the author of Move Us 2 Panama and a co-founder of PivotReady, a system that helps people turn decades of experience into sustainable income. Aaron focuses on practical reinvention—how to keep working, earning, and contributing well past the traditional idea of retirement.

Elder Activism | Ep 89

Monday Feb 02, 2026

Monday Feb 02, 2026

How can people over 50 step up and make a real difference in today’s political and social world—even if they’ve never been active before?
Join us with guest Shel Horowitz as he share practical strategies for older adults to engage meaningfully, push back against authoritarian trends, and take action at their own pace—gaining confidence to do more over time.
Shel began confronting ageism when he became an activist at age 12 and immediately started hearing that he was too young to make a difference. Since he turned 60, he’s been hearing that he’s too old. “Both are B.S.,” he says. “I’ve known activists who were effective at age 6 and effective at age 100.” At 22, he worked as a community organizer for the Gray Panthers. A consultant, speaker, and author, four of his ten books are about business as a force for environmental and social good, most recently Guerrilla Marketing to Heal the World.
